Who We Are

Behind IMARA are people, relationships and a shared vision.

A project born where conservation, human rights, communities and purposeful travel meet.

Our story

IMARA began from two different paths united by the same question: how can travel create real value?

We chose to design experiences that place each destination and the people who live there at the centre. Not tourism built over places, but with places.\n\nOur backgrounds bring together wildlife conservation, research, human rights, community development and travel design.

Where we begin

Listen before designing.

Every destination requires time, relationships and understanding. We meet partners, guides, professionals and communities to understand what should be shared with travellers and how.

What we believe

The best experiences begin with real relationships.

Conservation, communities and travel are not separate parts of the project. They are one system: people, nature and places are interdependent.

How we work

Three principles guide every choice.

Respect

For people, cultures, wildlife, ecosystems and local knowledge.

Relationship

Long-term collaboration rather than encounters created only for visitors.

Awareness

Understanding context before judging it, and allowing travel to change perspective.

Our idea of presence

Enter a place with curiosity. Stay with respect.
